EN EGEN PERRONG

LAHÄLL, TÄBY, SWEDEN - SPRING 2016
When the city of Stockholm is growing, so do the suburbs. Many of them consist of villas with big gardens and plans to density the suburbs with more houses are in plan. How could a plot fit two houses for two families without destroying the garden or to cut it into two plots? The plot I worked with is very small plot that was cut of from a larger one long time ago. To save as much of the garden as possible I placed the new building on the side boundary setback attaching onto the already existing building. This gives the form of the new building. The new house also becomes the new paling between the old building and the light railway that passes by.
